Ingredient Analysis

n-zymesPA™

  • This is a superior alternative to pancreatin. n-zymesPA™ contains a mixture of proteases, amylases and lipases. These enzymes have been formulated to have a broad substrate specificity, which pancreatin does not. n-zymesPA™ is designed to express activity over a broad range of pH, 3.5 to 8.5. Our enzymes are active in both the acidic environment of the stomach and the alkaline environment of the small intestine; pancreatin is only active in a very narrow range (7.5 to 8.5).
  • n-zymesPA™ is designed to make it through the digestive process and be absorbed in the intestines into the bloodstream. Once in the blood, n-zymesPA™ breaks down immune complexes that are lodge in the joints and other tissues thus decreasing pain and drastically reducing inflammation.
  • n-zymesPA™ is also extremely effective at breaking down proteins, carbohydrates, fats, starches and fibres when taken before a meal.

Bromelain

  • Bromelain has been shown to be extremely effective in treating almost all inflammatory conditions, regardless of etiology, including those resulting from physical trauma, infectious agents, surgical procedures, immunological reactions, and prostaglandin metabolism.
  • Bromelain is also known to activate compounds that break down fibrin. Bromelain also blocks the production of kinins (produced during inflammation and are known to increase swelling as well as cause pain.)
  • Bromelain may also be helpful in reducing reaction to allergens and is an extremely effective anti-inflammatory, especially when combined with vitamin C.
  • Numerous Studies have demonstrated the anti-inflammatory effects of bromelain in the treatment of thrombophlebitis, deep vein thrombosis, cellulitis, ecchymosis, and edema.

Rutin

  • A bioflavonoid referred to as Vitamin P, although it is not a true vitamin.
  • Inhibits the oxidation of low-density lipoprotein and the reduction of thrombotic activity.
  • Inhibits collagenase and clastase, the enzymes responsible for the breakdown of connective tissue. Connective tissue breakdown is one of the factors that cause arthritis.
  • Reinforces the natural structure of collagen and improves the integrity of connective tissue.
  • Helps to relieve pain, bumps, and bruises.

Turmeric

  • A source of curcumin, which induces the flow of bile to breakdown fats, decreases cholesterol levels, and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.
  • Turmeric's anti-inflammatory properties have been extensively studied and have shown that curcumin inhibits platelet aggregation and cyclooxigenase and lipoxygenase enzymes, which catalyze the formation of inflammatory prostaglandins and molecules.
  • Also shown to have chemopreventive properties when used in the treatment of colon carcinogenesis.

Papain

  • Papain was initially administered in syrup to cure chronic diarrhea in children. However, Papain has been shown to be effective in treating most common digestive disorders.

Malt Diastase

  • Augments the breakdown of starch.

Betaine HCL

  • Betaine HCL is added to the product to increase the hydrochloric acid content of the digestive system. As we age, the quantity of gastric acid diminishes leading to incomplete digestion and improper breakdown and absorption of nutrients. Joint-Zyme™ was designed to not only help with arthritis and inflammation, but also to provide the body with the necessary tools it needs to return to normal health.

Glucoamylase

  • Assures the breakdown of maltose into glucose

CereCalase™

  • Used to breakdown fibrous cell walls present in grains, fruit and vegetables.
  • A unique blend of trademarked enzymes used to increase the availability of nutrients absorption, which in turn provides better joint nutrition.

Lactoperoxidase

  • An enzyme found in milk.
